The farmhouse and local products
Del Zanna family welcomes you in its farm holiday centre where for three generations they have been producing Wine Chianti Colli Senesi, Tuscan white wine , tasty Vin Santo and extra virgin olive oil.
The farmhouse, part of the estate has undergone a careful restoration with particular attention to the unspoiled countryside where it is located and it is equipped with photovoltaic panels for the production of electric energy, solar panels for water heating and a biomass boiler allowing energy self-sufficiency of the structure.
Del Zanna family will offer you hospitality and courtesy characterized by a affectionate willingness to make you feel at ease that will help you to fully enjoy the wonderful opportunities for recreation, that this luxuriant part of Tuscany offers.
Accomodations
All apartments are derived from a careful and accurate restoration of the stables and of the outbuildings of the old rural farmhouse and are divided into a small apartment obtained from the ‘SEGATOIO‘, a room next to the stables where we used to cut the hay to be given to cows and calves, a larger apartment derived from the STABLE and the ATTICS recently renovated.
Hospitality
In front of the farmhouse, a small tavern used as a common space where it is possible for small groups, to cook, eat and meet.
The site is surrounded by a large yard where you can play and organize lunches and dinners outside. The surrounding landscape is characterized by an uncontaminated countryside, that is like a stunning picture that poetically represents a truly unique place.
Places to discover
The Elsa river, a few tens of meters from the farmhouse offers the opportunity to long walks to enjoy the surrounding flora and fauna (herons, kingfishers, moorhens) and go fishing.
Nearby, in Staggia Senese (8 km from Poggibonsi), you’ll be delighted by visiting the Franzesi’s castle belonging to the end of the thirteenth century, while in Colle Val D’Elsa (7 km from Poggibonsi) it is really fascinating to walk slowly through the suggestive streets of the medieval village. Then you can also visit San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, Siena, Volterra and Florence, all of them at a close distance.
The warmth and the hospitality of the Tuscan people will cheer your stay approaching to oenigrastronomic traditions, culture and history of one of the most charming areas of the Italian natural landscape.
